Loft Conversions

Velux & roof-light lofts

Where there's already enough headroom, roof lights create a bright room without changing the roofline.

Velux & roof-light lofts

A roof-light conversion keeps the existing roof shape and adds Velux or conservation roof windows, insulation, a new floor and a staircase. It's usually the quickest and most affordable route into the loft.

It suits homes with steeper roofs, and conservation areas where changes to the roofline are restricted.

Common questions

How much headroom do I need?

As a rule of thumb, around 2.2 m measured from the top of the ceiling joists to the underside of the ridge. We'll measure on our first visit.
