Our foreman has been with us since 2003. Our first apprentice now prices your project. That continuity is why the work is consistent.

Apprentice joiner, 1978

Eddie Muldoon

Founder & Managing Director

Eddie started out as an apprentice joiner in 1978, then worked for contractors all over the UK: shop fitting, roofing, first and second fix. Moving into domestic work, he saw a gap for a builder with a real eye for detail who simply got the job done, and in 2000 he set up E.P. Muldoon.

He has since led the team to two FMB project awards, our largest-ever 500 m² new build, and back-to-back Building Company of the Year titles. Away from site he's a family man with four grandchildren.

John

Foreman

John joined in 2003, just before our first large job on Park Lodge Close in Cheadle. A highly skilled joiner and a working foreman, he sets out and runs our sites and mentors every apprentice who comes through.

When a client wants a bespoke piece of joinery, such as the oak gallows brackets on a porch, it's usually John who makes it in house. He's also a dab hand in the kitchen.

Paul

Estimating & Commercial

Paul joined in 2004 as our first apprentice, learning joinery under John. After a degree in Construction Project Management he spent time gaining experience elsewhere, then came home to E.P. Muldoon in 2018.

Today he runs the background of every job: the line-by-line quote, ordering, invoicing and the cost reports you'll see as your project moves. Outside work he runs everything from 5 km parkruns to 50-mile ultras.

Apprentices, not agency labour.

Training apprentices has been part of E.P. Muldoon since 2004, mentored on site by John. It’s one of the reasons the FMB named us Building Company of the Year in 2021: for our investment in our people.

When you hire us, the people you meet at the first visit are the people who’ll be in your home.
