Space in a hurry, done tidily
Loft conversions that keep the weather out and the mess down.
The extra bedroom, the home office, the suite you've always wanted. Lofts have been a staple of our work for years, and demand has climbed sharply since the pandemic.

As well as adding much-needed living space, which is especially valuable for growing families, a loft conversion can add real value to your home and make it more attractive to buyers. In many cases it can be done under permitted development, so planning permission may not be needed, which saves time and money compared with other projects.
Taking part of the roof off exposes your home to the weather. That's why we always look to use a tented scaffold on loft conversions: it lets us manage the North West's changeable weather, protects your house, and keeps the job moving whatever the forecast. The result is a quicker project than most extensions or refurbishments.
Tented scaffold as standard
A fully covered roof means no tarpaulins flapping and no rain getting into the house below.
Permitted development checked
We'll tell you early whether your loft is likely to need planning permission.
Dormers, hip-to-gable & Velux
The right conversion for the roof you have, from roof-light rooms to full-width dormers.
Mess kept to a minimum
Methods we've refined over many years to keep dust and disruption out of the house below.
Loft Conversions
Types of lofts we build.

Dormer loft conversions
The most space for your money: full-height rooms with an en suite under a rear dormer.

Hip-to-gable conversions
Extend the sloping side of a hipped roof into a full gable and unlock a loft that once looked too small.

Velux & roof-light lofts
Where there's already enough headroom, roof lights create a bright room without changing the roofline.
Our standard
Every loft goes under a tent.
With part of the roof off, your home is exposed. A fully tented scaffold keeps the rain out of the rooms below and keeps the job moving whatever the weather.

We are extremely happy with the finished project and the quality is exactly what we wanted. E.P. Muldoon’s were not the cheapest quote, but based on the quality finish we wanted it was competitive. This has proved to be the case. We have already recommended Muldoon to two of our friends for their house renovations.
