Why we put a tent over every loft conversion

With part of your roof off, your home is exposed. In the North West, that's not a risk worth taking.

Why we put a tent over every loft conversion

With most loft conversions, part of the existing roof has to come off, which leaves your home open to water damage. The North West's weather is, let's say, changeable.

What a tented scaffold does

A tented, or temporary roof, scaffold encloses the whole roof in a waterproof cover. We can strip the roof, build the dormer and fit the new structure without racing the forecast or relying on tarpaulins.

  • Reduces the risk of water getting into the rooms below
  • Keeps the project moving whatever the weather
  • A dry, safer workplace means better quality work

That's a big part of why a loft is often the quickest way to add space, and why it's standard on our loft projects.
