Gatley cottage remodel & extension
Gatley, Cheadle
An extension to one of the oldest cottages in Gatley: traditional outside, a modern twist within.
This project extended one of the oldest cottages in the Greater Manchester suburb of Gatley. Earlier work on the house hadn't been sympathetic, so our brief was to put that right: traditional on the outside, with a modern twist inside.
Windows were replaced throughout, the house was rewired, and the plumbing and heating had a much-needed overhaul. For a growing family who work from home, we remodelled two thirds of the property and refreshed the kitchen: a sage-green handleless kitchen with a white island, an open dining space and a dramatic dark cloakroom.
